The Miami Herald published an article Friday morning about a $29 million dollar illegal land flip and mortgage fraud scheme. You can read all about it at www.herald.com. Notice that I said “illegal” land flip. Not all kinds are illegal.

Now we will see how smart the government is with the properties. Since many are occupied, I hope they are collecting rent, and don’t try to evict the tenants. They will recover more if they have the apartments rented!
I can’t believe the whole group (inclduing the little guys who falsified apps) haven’t been charged under federal rackoteering statutes! They’ll probably get a slap on the wrist, which will make it harder for us legitimate “flippers” to do our thing.

if you’re talking about the same one (Ft. Laud), is that the guy put the trust IN HIS OWN NAME! I wonder how they thought they could get away with it?
