Many local counties have electronic access to their courthouse records. I’d start with the courthouse where the property is located and ask them if they have direct access to their records; some have free access, and some have paid access. Property transactions, including loan details, are usually recorded here.

Probably not what you wanted to hear, but I’ve found this is one of the best ways to get directly to the information you’re looking for.

Thanks for the info on homeinfomax. I hadn’t run across that web site before and it may end up being useful in my arsenal of information-seeking tools!

Hello. I would like to know if anyone could suggest any websites to search mortgage information (balances, lenders, etc.) on a target property. Pay sites are fine. Free sites are better. So far, I found www.homeinfomax.com. Thank you.
