MR. Garcia You should have no problem getting a loan make sure to go to a broker that deals a lot with sub-prime lenders. I am an account executive for a lender and you would qualify for 100% Financing with somewhere around 8.5 % Email me if you have questions

Mr. Garcia - Credit question - Posted by Joe Zimny

Mr. Garcia:

I am from the U.S. but live abroad and have invested in real estate here for the past 7 years. I have solid assets and resources and would like to begin investing back home again (in the U.S.) but I need to know more about how my credit score will affect my ability to borrow.

About 10 years ago, due to an illness and loss of job, I had a reposession and a small credit card balance go into default. Years have passed with no real credit activity and my score is now at 597 (August, 2002). For someone like me, with good resources, solid income, investment property experience … what sort of loan programs do you think I should persue for a non-owner occupied investment property back home?

Many thanks.
