my husband and I have lived in this home for over 14years. we have 2 children in college and applied for a home equity loan. we cannot because the house is in the mortgage company’s name. we have invested money rennovatins and cannot take addvantage of our investment is this legal and what are our options.

I found a property and I have spoken to the owners of this property. They told me that it was to have been foreclosed on last year. I contacted the tax office and the county clerks office. I had copies made of the warranty deed with a vendors lien. I was told that it is still in the owners name. However I do not understand why it is in three differnet names. I would appreciate if someone could help me with this.
