If you’ll get on the phone and start calling some lawyers, you can get their referrals and probably find lawyer who has RE practice. JV & foreclosure are not that complicated for a lawyer who’s into RE practice full time.

Other option for you is to find Martindale Hubbell (MD)either online, or at your county courthouse law library, and looking at NC lawyers & finding a firm or lawyer who does so specialize.

I’d encourage anybody who ever has need of a lawyer to get familiar with MD, as it’s a national directory and highly respected within the legal profession as being pretty accurate and up to date.

I have asked a partner to pursue a N.Cali foreclosure with me. He is an established foreclosure company. I am a newbie. He gave me a 4 page JV agreement to sign right now. I hesitate to sign any agreement without a lawyer. But the property is very hot. We need to pursue it right away. I don’t know any lawyer experienced in joint ventures and foreclosures. What should I do?

should I sign?
