Need suggestions on finding fire damaged properties - Posted by BankRobber

I was intrigued by Dennis Hocker’s article on rehabing fire damaged properties (thanks Dennis). But I can’t determine what the most efficient way would be to locate these properties (other than starting the fire myself). And/or who to approach with an offer and when to approach them (the owner or the insurance company). Any rational suggestions would be appreciated.

I’ve got one for you that I’m ready to flip to some brave soul! You don’t happen to be in the Chicago area do you?

Where could I find Dennis Hocker’s article? I just found a fire damaged brick home (gutted!), and was wondering if it is possible to rebuild from inside the brick ectoskeleton. Thanks. - Rich

How about bird dog fees to fire fighters, or find a partner among them.

Bank,
Your fire department’s calls are probably public information. You might check with the city to find out how to get a list of all the fire calls for the last
30/60/90 days.

Good luck,
