You are correct about the Northern VA investor clubs. MichaelR (from the chatroom) is in the process of putting another group together. I am encouraging him to do so as I believe his will be better accessible and more applicable to VA REI than a group from MD or DC.

I have a meeting with him today in Alexandria and will mention your interest.

I’ve got two questions:

  1. CS says in his course that not everyone can find good properties within a 15 mile radius of his/her home as he suggests. He gave the example of Alexandria VA as a location where, if you lived there, you might have to go farther out to find good properties. I live just outside of Alexandria VA and am wondering why it’s not a good location. Is it disproportiately high-priced? What about nearby Arlington, VA?

  2. I’ve called the two investment clubs listed for the northern Virginia area but one is on hiatus and the other I got no response from. If you know of a No. VA RE investment club or would like to participate in one, please let me know.
