I seem to remember when I purchased my home that I met with my real estate agent and filled out an offer to purchase. Then they filled out a counter offer and we filled out another offer and they accepted. If I am meeting with a motivated seller I take it there wont be an offer to purchase correct? Do we come to a verbal agreement and then just fill out a purchase contract? I think in my state (WI) the offer to purchase is the purchae contract. In this case I would be face to face with a seller and therefore we would fill it out with whatever terms we agree to. Do I sound like I am on the right track with this?
