Don’t know any specifics but whomever you choose should charge a weekly or monthly fee as opposed to a one time charge.

They should also update their Pre f/c’s DAILY! This is important in a hot market. You don’t want to go after properties that are already under contract because they’ve been advertised to the public for weeks but your subscriber just posted them on their website today.

And finally, check the better business bureau (www.bbb.org) to see if there have been compliants registered against the company you’re thinking about subscribing to.

Good luck.

I’ve been searching the internet for companies that offer foreclosure & pre-foreclosure information on properties in NY. Does anyone have recommendations. There are so many compnaies that promise the world, I was wondering if anyone has had any good results…

Thanks

Here are a few that I am familiar with…

realtytrac.com (monthly fee)
ushud.com (free)
ushud.gov (free - hud homes only)
reozone.com (monthly fee)
foreclosurenet.net (some free info/monthly fee)
foreclosure.net (monthly fee)

All good sources; relative to individual value perception. Good luck!
