Opening a corporate bank account - Posted by Omooba

I have just formed two corporations, I filed the papers myself with the help of Mr. Bronchick’s book. My name is no where on the “Articles of Incorporation”; because I do not want my name to be in the public records.
Could anyone please tell me how I can open a bank account in the corporation’s name with me being the only signatory for now.The bank said my name has to be on the Articles of Incorporation; to be able to open the account.

You should have obtained a corporate records book.
Hold a meeting, do a resolution to open bank account, in your name. Have it signed by one of the officers on record of the corporation. Record the meeting in the minutes (should have minutes section in corporate book), and take copy of the minutes to your bank (along with copies of your Articles of Incorporation).
