Stick built will appreciate much better over time than the vast majority of modulars. As I see it, the biggest problem with modulars is that they look like modulars. Some buyer’s do equate them with mobile homes. In my opinon the construction quality is fine. But the limitations of transporting a modular make them look boxy with narrow roof overhangs. Kenneth, what is the frequency?

Talking with a builder about doing some construction that is prefab/modular. Quality seems to be fine so he says, but I have some other traditional builder types that hate the stuff. Not sure if they are just old school or if there is an inheirant problem with it.
What do buyers think of it? Do they equate it to mobile homes and being cheap? Will a stick built and modular frame out bring the same retail price?
Opinions please as I’ve never done a prefab before.
