Kristine,

If you haven’t already, try to work up a relationship with customer service at the title company. If you could refer business their way, you might be able to get the mailing list for free.

Is there an easy way to locate out-of-state owners? I asked the ladies both the auditors and treasury office and they don’t know anything(not that unusual). Thanks

Dan: when you say locate, do you mean get a list of out-of-state owners? If that’s the case, you can usually find a vendor that has property info and can sell you what you want. In my area, title companies sell mailing lists. You could ask for a mailing list of all owners in a certain area, eliminating all zip codes that are in your state, etc. Also, check the archives of this site. There are many posts from people with experience with different online services and different ideas.

Hope this helps. Sincerely, Kristine
