Try www.sos.state.ms.us – go to public lands and then to tax forfeited lands and that will get you a list of counties and all the tax forfeited land in the state or MS.
Then you migh try http://www.state.tx.us/category.jsp?language=eng&categoryId=6.2.1 (cut and paste) that will get you a list of all counties in TX…you will have to go county by county there to find any. If the county has any it will be listed as “Resales” Last time I checked, Travis County (Austin Area) had about 100 parcels listed for sale under resales.
KS Has them also but I cannot find the website in my files.
A WORD of CAUTION, in every state, land that has defaulted to the state or county has already been through the normal sale process and was refused by those participating…Caveat Emptor --Let the Buyer Beware…when you pay for it, it is yours ‘warts and all.’
Anyhow, that should get you started.
