The statement referred to your popularity not your honesty.
In other words it’s not what you say it’s the way that you say it.
I was referring to marketing in the abstract, which seems to be the art of saying something in an attractive way. You have that knack and I don’t.
I think that is why the writer congratulated you for something I said. He is so conditioned to like what you say and dislike what I say that he attributed my statement to you, even though my name was clearly at the top of my post and you had nothing to do with it. That is the only explanation I can think of for how he dragged you into this.
I still think it’s funny that he did this, even though the joke is on me .
