I wanted to get into new construction and I have an LLC that handles remodels, additions, handyman type work. I have a individual license as well as company license. Can I create another DBA under my current LLC? Trying to limit the possibility of getting a new company license for my build jobs. Thoughts?

I’ve done it myself on numerous occasions. I have a business, an auto repair shop that requires licensing from DMV, and obtained through the corporate name, an LLC. I used a DBA to conduct business since it’s a well known business in the area that I bought, and the DBA is similar to the old name. We answer the phones using the old name.
Similarly I used a DBA under an S Corp to branch out to a new line of business.
