Freddy,

From reading the fine print in our local Scranton tax deed sale notices (in the newspaper), apparently you need to pay all by 2:00 p.m. the same day. Any experts, please correct me if I’ve read wrong. Good luck! Suzanne

Wondering if anyone could offer any insight about Pa tax sales. When you are the high bidder, do you have to have the full bid amount in cash the same day or do you have to put down a percentage that day?

Freddy,

It depends on the county some require 100% payment including 2% transfer tax on full market value with 5 minutes. Others allow payment at the end of the sale or the end of the business day. I know of none that will accept partial payments and many bureau do not accept checks, must be cash or certified funds.
