Your purchase must be approved by the courts. When a seller is in bankruptcy they no longer have the right to sell their home on their own. The disposition of assets is controlled by the bankruptcy trustee and the judge.
Can someone please help. I found a pre forclosure, the seller is in chapter 7 bankruptcy, what are the legal ramifcations of buying this property. Thanks so much
