Hi,

I would like to know what is a good %(percentage rate to charge on managing properties. This is upstate NY. Rent varies from $450 on a one bedroom and $500 to 650 on tewo bedrooms.
I was thinking 15%-25%. What do you think. Any response would be asppreciated. thank you.

Here in T.X. I have a Broker that manages a couple of properties for me @ 8% plus maintenance costs. Really efficient too.

I can’t comment specifically on NY, but most placed I’ve heard of the rate is more like in the 7% to 10% range. Plus maintenance costs.
