Depends on what state you are in…each has its own publishing reuqirements. In most states you must publish in some newspaper of general interest in the area of the property…or…simply put a notice on the door of the property and at the courthouse…or…a combination of both…or…in addition to all this you must record the information in the recorder’s office.
Best way to find out is to read your state statues on foreclosure auctions.
