To clarify, the question is if the lien is assignable. The attorney I talked to thought I would have trouble getting a judgement in court on the lien since I’m not the actual contractor that created it.

I live in Georgia and have purchased Joe Kaiser’s mechanic’s liens course. I spoke with a local attorney who told me that if I were to purchase a lien, I would be on shaky ground legally if I were to file suit to get a judgement. There’s nothing in the Georgia code that specifically forbids it, it just doesn’t address it.
Has anyone tried this in Georgia, or have any helpful info?
