Get a good, basic book on rei from your local bookseller and it will discuss running the numbers and making offers. Also, if you are inclined, Bronchick’s nuts and bolts course does a good job of describing the offering part.

I’d appreciate some detailed steps to take on how properties are “tied up”; “put under contract”?

Do I need an agent to do this? When does the exchange of monies occur, you know, down payment, earnest deposit, or whatever?

Also, can anyone recommend materials to learn real estate math?
