I bought the book on tape last year after I first heard about it and I’ll be honest, I got so bored after about the first half of the tape, that I ended up losing it somewhere in my house. Is it better to get the book? I normally retain info better when I hear it, but maybe this one is better to actually read? Opinions?

Rich Dad… Good Book.

I need step-by-step instructions (monkey-see monkey-do!) which I didn’t feel this book gave me.

If you like Rich Dad… read Richest Man in Babylon by George S Clason. ( it’s step-by-step, monkey-see monkey-Do and it’s helpin make me rich.)

I HATE reading and I loved it. It kept my interest the whole way through. Maybe the person reading it had a boring voice. It was definitely one of the best books I’ve ever read, and the most useful without question.

I like tapes too but most books on tapes are abridged, meaning that a lot of it has to be condensed and summarized to fit it into 1 or 2 cassette tapes.

This means a lot of info and subtleties is lost. I always try to buy unabridged tapes if they are available.

Charity,

If you are refering to “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” then yes. Definetly buy the book. All his books are great for that matter. There are several helpfull diagrams that are in the book that you obviously dont have on the tape. I also retain better listening, but find his book very easy to understand. i dont know what level of investor you are but i am a “newbie” and it has certainly helped put together some of the “pieces.” Judging from some of the recommendations on this post as well as in the news groups, it is a must read.
