The usual way of doing this is to put properties in the land trusts and have LLC be beneficial owner of land trusts. Some people own LLC’s via trusts to avoid disclosing their ownership of the LLCs. Trust law is very state sensitive, so get local help on this…and be prepared, finding an attorney that truly understands trusts is difficult.

Currently, my rental properties are in LLCs. I recently took title to my new home in a land trust for privacy purposes. Now I would like to put my rental properties into a land trust, also for privacy purposes. Do I form a land trust with the LLCs as beneficiaries; or do I keep the rentals in the LLCs and make the Trust a member of the LLCs with myself as beneficairy? Or am I just all wrong about this? Thanks for any guidence you can give.
