Question for rehabbers about FHA seasoning - Posted by MikeT

This question is for the experienced rehabbers and flippers. I started investing last October and have done 3 rehabs thus far. My holding time is 2-3 months. I’ve sold FHA once and conv. 2x. I’ve been reading on this board about the FHA seasoning problems. I’m a bit confused because there doesn’t seem to be a definitive answer out their. Is this rule still under review or is it a done deal? I know that their are exceptions on a case by case basis. All of my properties are some type of distressed ownership. Either BANK owned or pre-foreclosure and I usually throw in about 10-20k in rehab. I think I fall under their exceptions. I’ve tried my attorney by she doesn’t seem to know. Any advice on the status of this and ramifications or further links for information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike
