Are you saying you want to use the 6 SFHs in lieu of cash. If so,it is unlikely that any lender would use that as collateral. They may cross collateralize if your credit is not great or down payment is limited.

How much equity do you have? Can you free it up?

I would like to buy a multi-unit complex that is priced in the 3M range.

I already own 6 SFH that I rent with a toatl market value of 650K-690K

My question, Can I use the 6 SFH as collateral for down payment on the multi-units?
