Hi,
I just bought a house last Friday. When my realtor who happened to be the seller’s realtor showed my the basement. I found one part of the drywall had been cut off. I asked him the reason and he told me that the water pipeline above had been broken so the previous owner had cut it open. I believed what he said. Also, on the purchase agreement, the previous owner claimed there was no water in the basement. However, the first very day I moved in and there was a thunderstorm. The place who the drywall had been cut was leaking. I can easily find the evident that it have leaked before.
I am very upset and the previous owner consists that he had no problem with the basement.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
