Questions to ask a Mortgage broker - Posted by Allen

Posted by Allen on December 05, 2000 at 15:42:28:

Hello,

I’m looking for a mortgage broker…or private funding
for several deals I have cooking. (Raleigh, NC)

What kinds of questions should I be asking of these
folks?

Also, should I be concerned about LTV ratios and my
own credit if I intend to find financing on investment properties?

If this has been asked before, perhaps someone point
the link out for me?

I appreciate your help, and as always…Thank You.

Best Wishes!

Allen

somebody said…step into the fog.

So I have.

I have contacted several listed mortgage banker / brokers that I found from the NC Commisioner of Banks.

I know some basic parameters, such as my RE investment strategy (buy and hold, buy and flip, etc.)and common sense seems to dictate discussion with these people to find out how RE deals can be financed.

Thanks for those of you who made comments, I look forward to great things.

Allen

Allen-

I’m from Raleigh too! (Actually, d-mn Yankee from New York, been here ten years.) I am also looking for some way to find some financing. Please make note of my on screen handle “george from raleigh” (shouldn’t be too hard!). I work a lot in eastern NC, and am looking for things to do in that direction, because the zoning is virtually non-existant, the property values lower, and I think that the area is preparing for a real boom. Let me know if you find any interesting info!
