What state are you in? Here in Michigan, Joint Tenancy means two or more owners have an equal, undivideable interest in the property. One cannot sell without all signing off.
That is my understanding of it anyway…I am no expert!

A seller has agreed to deed me a house. As I went to check title I found that there is a quit claim deed, with a person named join tenant against the property. What does this mean and how do I go about getting this released?
