This is an Investors Forum. The site you reference is marketed towards retail buyers who neeed to save a few bucks as end users.
Eaton’s material may well be right on for all I know, but I assure you, what he is “saving” people off of their retail purchase is as much or more than we pay in Total for the homes we invest in.
Investors cannot and do not pay retail (if they wish to stay in business anyway). Just as you and Eaton elude to, the dealers mark up the homes thousands of dollars. This is how capitalism works. Buy low, sell high. No mystery there I am sure.
The difference is that Eaton is marketing to the folks who are buying high (retail). We are buying low through the type of knowledge that is shared here. Stick around and you may well find a whole new way of looking at Eaton’s material.
