Exactly 2 years ago yesterday, my entire city was evacuated due to flooding. I should have my basement finished this week. About 90% of the buildings in town had damage, and as a result, property owners had to take on a lot of debt for repairs. In my particular case, I now owe about $100k on a 4-plex that I paid $98K for in 1996. In two units the only thing salvageable was the ceilings. If you want to know more, e-mail me.
