The phrase “real estate auctions” is awfully vague. There are a lot of different types of real estate auctions.
I’d recommend that you not get involved with foreclosure auctions, they are very risky and require a lot of knowledge and skill to do successfully. This is especially so in Coastal CA, where there are many competitors and properties sell for very high prices at foreclosure sales.
I can’t think of any CA auctions that I would recommend to a beginner.
