Hello,

Does anyone have or know of a (filing) system or book on the subject of record keeping, to keep track of this stuff. I use Quickbooks for my tax reports, that I understand, but my question is about the actual paper copies of everything, that you must keep, IN CASE!!! All suggestions welcomed!!!

Susie

KEEP EVERYTHING! Throw it in a box, one for each year, if nothing else ! I keep closing docs and loan docs in a filing cabinet that never goes into storage. Other things, such as Tenant files, paid receipts can be filed by house, by year. But, DON’T THROW ANYTHING AWAY.

Does anyone scan documents to save them in the computer? It sure would be a great paper saver. I know I have all my Quickbooks records on disk. Anyone doing it? have any luck? What does the IRS say will suffice? Thanks
