our atlanta one, which is non-profit, charges $ 145 for a 1-year membership. there may be areas, where it’s ‘for profit’ and they would charge more. do they let you go to one meeting as a guest? check it out. if there are established investors and not just newbies, then i would say ‘it’s a bargain’. networking with other investors is one of the best tools, that i can recommend. your friends and family will tell you, that you’re crazy wanting to do real estate, so this would be your ‘support group’. other investors would tell you, that it can be done and how it can be done. exchange phone numbers and you will have people to call, if you do come across a deal or situation where you have questions. dealing with other creative investors will open your eyes to ‘out of the box’ thinking. but be aware: once you’re ‘out of the box’, nothing will be the same

Is $500 for a year long membership as well as a 2-day class a fair price for a pretty established REI club?
