It is in direct violation of the guidelines set forth by Sec 8 for another person to occupy the same unit.

Just received a phone called stating that my Section 8 tenant was moving in furniture. I find this unusual because she just had new furniture delivered in December.
My question is, how can I prove that she’s letting someone else move in with her? I know I could call and ask, but she’ll probably say no.
Anyone had this potential problem?

This is a dicey issue and tough to break a lease for. My advise is to use your best judgment (and your eyes). And be SURE to document everything. Cite the tenant before you even think about evicting the tenant.

I would think that section 8 office would want to know just who is living there too, after all they are helping this person pay their rent. I believe it is against sec. 8 policy to have anyone other than those stated on the lease living in the household without holding them accountable for there portion of the rent.
