How does HUD determine how much they will allow a tenant in their quest for residency? I 've had Sec 8 tenants before but it’s been several years. My situation: had a lady looking for an apt. approach me, said “Hud will allow me X$ for rent on a two bedroom apt or house”. Does that mean I can charge that much for rent or could there be adjustments in what they will allow depending on the ammenities or lack thereof?
