Should I form a Corporation? - Posted by Scotty
Posted by Scotty on March 11, 2001 at 15:40:58:
Maybe someone here could help me with this question.
Can or Should I form a real estate investing corp. than can buy and sell mobile homes via financing, rent mobiles, and also buy/rent/sell site built homes and apartments.
I plan on doing this full time so I thought I might as well do it right from the start to add more credibility to myself, and possible tax shelters.
Would this be a good idea, and if so, what kind of corp should I form, and where can I get this done?
Thanks in advance,
Scotty_TN

Check with a tax or legal professional who deals in the real estate arena to see what would be the best way for you to go, C-Corp S-Corp LLC or LP.

First, check with your accountant, attorney, and your mortgage broker to see your advantages, disadvantages and your limitations with all your options, ie LLC,sub-s corps etc.
