One suggestion is to have the seller contact the bank and request that they send copies of the paperwork to him.

The seller signed a PC for me to take house subject-to…

Now, How do I determine the mortgage information?? I want to make sure it doesn’t have a balloon on it!!

HELP!!

Seller has NO CLUE…and NO Original paperwork except for payment slips and deed.

Any ideas??

Hi Bill, you or your title examiner can pull the original mortgage/security deed from the courthouse records to check for balloon (sometimes they put it in the mortgage doc, sometimes it’s just in the note).

Or ask seller to request it from lender, like Chris said.
