Richard,
Yes, a pool is more liability.
I guess it depends on a couple of factors.
When I was in a state where pools were shut down for the winter, I avoided them.
However, now that i’m in a state where pools are used year round and VERY common, I no longer avoid them.
There are just too many houses that have them.
Instead, we make the buyers sign off on liability, and the fact that they MUST maintain them, as well as getting a “rider” on the insurance policy to cover the pool.

The choice is yours.
Good luck,
Jim FL

I am looking at a home from a motivated seller, the deal looks good, except that they have an inground swimming pool.

Would I have any liability as a landlord with a pool?

Would you consider a pool as a negative when looking at properties?

thanks
