I am trying to get a sense of what you are asking. As far as a straight line is concerned that is not the problem (use a string)I think you are asking how to get a referance point to get your straight line.
You mention 3,4,5, with that I am asumming you are trying to sguare of another line or fence to acheive a 90 degree angle. If this is the case you need to use 6,8,10 or larger multibles of these numbers to acheive this.
My best sugestion would be to check property lines locate your corner pins and put it up paralell with them in acordance with local codes.
