I’d say that if someone who’s making money is willing to train you, go for it.

Most of the stuff you’ll read about lease/options, contract-for-deed, PACTrusts® and the like, are, in effect, subletting situations.

Hi everyone,
This is my first post, although I’ve thoroughly enjoyed what I read here!
Question: We have neighbors and the husband works for Border Patrol. They rent two houses from people and furnish them and sub-let them to Border Patrol trainees who are here 5 to 11 months. They ask the owner in advance if they are able to sub-let these houses. Has anyone ever done this or something similar? And how has it worked out for you? Our neighbors say they are making a good amount of money and are happy with it. They are also willing to sit down and talk to us so we can do this too. Thanks for any input! Linda
