Hi Charity,

Georgia is a very complicated state when it comes to counties recovering real property taxes.

I would recommend “The 16% Solution” by Joel S. Moscowitz, J.D. as an excellent reference into tax lien certificates and tax foreclosed properties.

I would also recommend that you call the Tax Commissioner`s Office in your specific county for a detailed explanation of tax delinquencies and how they are handled.

I am not sure here in the Atlanta area how to go about finding those people who are delinquent on taxes. Is there an easy way to do this?

Also, on condemned properties- how do I get a list of those?
