Has anyone here offered an incentive to a new tenant to rent a unit? I have been at this game now for 12 years and this is the first tough market I have been in. I have offered two weeks of free rent in my classifed ad and while the calls have increased the quality of my applicants is certainly decreasing. Anyone had luck with offering two weeks free rent AND a small televison or microwave? What about a vacuum cleaner to those who rent a unit? In my experience most of my tenats dont have one. Any thoughts on ideas like this. I am trying hard to get my creative juices flowing.
