I had a rental house that smelled like vineger once. I ended up bringing 17 dogs in and gave them a bunch of coffee. Problem solved!

I just bought a used car. It drives good and all, but there is an OVERPOWERING dog smell in the car. The inside of the car literally smells like a dog. I cant seem to get the smell out. Anyone have any ideas. Please help me!

PS: Although this is concerning a used car, I am also sure that some of us must have had this problem with houses. Thanks.

Try Nature’s Miracle–you can find it at any PetSmart.

We used it at some of our rentals and it works. One of the bathrooms was unbearably stinky–obviously, the tenant’s cat was using it as a bathroom.

VINIGAR

It cuts thru pet smells fast and its cheap and non-toxic. I usally use it with a small steam cleaner.

I also use it in the washing machine with foul curtains, rugs, or anything with pet urine.

A thourough cleaning including steam cleaning of carpet using a product like Fabreeze. You might also try a black Light inside the car at night, urine stains will become visible. At least you can pinpoint the spots.
Good luck

I use white vinegar (50 vinegar/50 water) for pet stains (puke) on my light colored carpet. Works much better than carpet cleaning solutions.

Gene,

I would like to try it next time. Do you dilute with some hot water? Or do you just use it straight?

Thanks.

Do you mean VINEGAR, or is there a product named VINIGAR?

VINEGAR - sorry…no spell check.

I have also poured it strait onto subflooring that had urine staines…it actually worked.

I get two gallon packs at Sams Club for a couple bucks.
