For over three years, the purpose of this news group has
always been to discuss real estate, paper, mobile homes and
related topics.
This is NOT a forum for discussing my advertising copy, or
for discussing John Reed’s opinions about this forum, or
for any other such nonsense.
Since we have been operating this site for over 3 1/2 years,
we know a lot of things most of our visitors do not know.
We know, for example, that many of the posts of the ilk
mentioned above are “planted” by people whose intent is to
trash this news group and this site. Frequently, these are
planted by others who have real estate sites that get about
0 to 3 posts a day on their own news group.
Yes, I have better things to do with my life than “babysit”
this news group. But this has been a GREAT resource for
many thousands of investors and newbies and I’m not about to
let a few trouble makers trash it.
Here’s how you can help me preserve this resource for you:
When you spot a post that is an ad or otherwise bogus BS,
please don’t bother responding to it. Instead, post an alert
to me so I can see it quickly and remove it. Other responses
would be a waste of time, because the whole thread will be
removed.
If you care about this site and news group, help me preserve
it for you. Yes, I get battle weary, but I’m willing to keep
it going, if you’re willing to help.

Your only problem now might be all the e-mail warnings you get! Regarding your request, no problem. It’s my pleasure to be able to help you in some way after all that you, Terry and everyone else who contributes has done for me. You’ve done a great job maintaining this site and in my opinion, you’ve been very “black and white” in eliminating those posts that don’t belong. I’ve been on this site for less than a month and the first thing I read was the editorial guidelines and he second thing was ntice how few peopl paid them any mind. Yesterday, I thried to weed through the endless postings about selling things at the convention til I finally just gave up looking for the few things I was interested in. If your going to play taskmaster to this site, you cannot play gray . Only black & white will provide the things you say are important to this site.
Just a thought.

I’m brand new to investing, and I am SO thankful I found this website. After only a few days, I’m loyal to creaonline.com and can see that this is probably THE best resource for new and experienced investors.
Like the others, I’ll be glad to keep an eye out for jealous competitors of yours.

P.S. I must thank you for the articles on this site. This morning I printed out dozens of them and have already read about twenty of them, and I’m starting to understand a few terms and concepts - if only the very basics.

Thanks for this site , it sure is an inpirational help.
I will do my best Not to respond to the bogus posts.
But sometimes its tough when you just wanna set these people straight . But i agree , we should control ourselves , and try to remember , free speech doent mean you should have free reign to continue to trash other peoples works . Hang in there .

I actually did this a couple of times…pointed out some bogus posts. I’m glad that this was a help to you.

I guess our parents were right after all - if someone is saying things about you, ignore them, and they will stop! Sometimes it’s so hard though - I wonder how we expect our kids to do it when we can’t!
