I use Powernet Global 877-599-3087 for my in and out of state long distance (5.9 cents/minute in state and 4.9 cents/minute state to state (day or night, business or residential)). They also have a website.
Powernet Global is available nationwide. No monthly fee and I got to pick my toll-free number. The toll-free call charges appear on my Powernet bill as a separate line item so you can see who called you.
Having the toll-free number works better than a calling card if you have kids in college who need to call home.
