Call the lender the buyer is working with and see if you need an attorney, or can you just go through the title company. They should be able to hook you up with a good title company, unless you want an attorney.

I’ve posted here a few times before, mostly with theoretical questions - now I have a “real life” issue I’m hoping someone can assist on.
I have a property I own which is in a state that happens to be over 1,000 miles away. I have a buyer for the property, but have never done this type of transaction before. I assume I’ll need to get an attorney in the state where the property is located. Can someone provide me some specifics on dealing with a closing in another state? The buyer has a mortgage company he’s working with but I’m still assuming I will need an attorney to arrange the closing and/or a title company. Since it’s a totally private sale I need to know how to handle this from so far away.
Thanks in advance for providing help to someone very ‘new’ at this.
