I somewhat agree. I bought a book from him, got thru about 4 chapters and started seeing all I was being told was to buy low and sell high. I probably should read the rest of the book before a issue a negative opinion, but so far that’s what I’ve found.

A friend and I have just purchased two books written by Ty Hicks “How to make big money in real estate” and “How to Make millions in real estate in 3 years starting with no cash”. I’ve gotten through the first few chapters of the 2nd one & it seems pretty interesting. Does anyone have any comments about Ty’s suggestions?
My friend has the Carlton Sheets course and I’m thinking about getting a copy for myself. Along with some other resources described on this site.

Hicks’ stuff is some of the absolute worst stuff on the market for rei. Congrats. Whatever you read from here on out will be a big improvement.
Consider Real Estate Investing by McLean and Eldred, 2nd Edition, and, 5 Magic Paths to making a fortune in Real Estate by Lumley. Also, do a book topic search on the archives and you will get lots of titles.

If you were to recommend the Top 3 books…which ones would you recommend?
I have read many books but most do not give you the ‘nuts and bolts’ to put together a deal
in a steady ‘HOT’ market.
Many owners in my area do not want to hear about ‘owner financing’ when they have a cash buyer or 20-30% down with a mortgage.
Any suggestions?
