Are you sure the local government or authority who is
building the highway has not purchased the property to
get it out of their way?

Still a newbie in all of this, but I pass this home every day during my daily commute…and it got me wondering.
This home looks ok on the outside…looks to have Spanish ceramic tiling on the roof, with some chipped and missing pieces. Definitely abandoned…with the window areas boarded up. Had a front yard, which looks to be almost gone - which lies the Rotten Location.
It is on the side of a busy highway which is going through a major widening project. Part of the widening is in front of this house… which is why the front yard has disappeared. I am not sure how long the project will take… but my guess is that they will be done this area in about 6 months to a year.
Has anyone dealt with a situation similar to this? How do you go about looking to find an owner (if any) for the home? Do you wait until the construction is finished before doing anything?
