Using a master lease for a MHP. - Posted by Sirwebbie

I’ve never done a master lease so I can’t help there.

As to the park-owned home question, the answer would be yes as long as the lease permitted it. There will be some logistics to work out as far as delivery of titles for the homes and insurance, but it can be done.

However, you may want to rethink the lease/purchase angle. See this post: http://www.creonline.com/commercial-real-estate/wwwboard5/messages/19834.html

I am considering doing a master lease for 5 year with an option to buy the park at the end of five years. Has anyone actually tried this? How did it work?

My other question is: This park has 24 park owned homes that I wanted to sell with lease purchase agreements. Could I do this while I was leasing the park?
