I’m in a closet also, where do I get this paper. Lowes or where?

Don’t know if this is new or perhaps I was just missed it at rehab school, but I’ve found this truly amazing wallpaper at our local Eagle Hardware store.

The stuff is called “Paper Illusion” and has a “Village” label on it. Not sure if they manufacture or just distribute. Also note a website on the label, www.villagehome.com, but I couldn’t find the paper there.

Anyway, the really cool part about this stuff is that you don’t hang it, you tear it up in pieces, wet it, and just slap on. It goes up fairly quickly and looks spectacular.

And the best part . . .

When your tenant dings it up a bit, you just slap on another chuck. I’m hooked.

Just for fun, I got it up on a couple walls back at the ranch today. Took about an hour per wall.

Sounds interesting-- I don’t get out much either.
Can you put this on top of existing wallpaper?
And in general, do you put wallpaper on top of wallpaper or do you have to strip everytime (small dark bathroom, nothing shows much) and if so, do you
even try to fill in any dips with wall joint compound?

I’m glad you posted this.
Just wondering. My local Habitat For Humanity General
Store has been donated hundreds of rolls of wallpaper,
and they are selling for about 50 cents to $1 each.

Hey Kaiser, where have you been? Has your ol lady kept you in the closet? This stuff has been around for who knows how long! I used it back in 1978.

Get with it there Joe. You snooze you lose
